Half a Million Pound Investment Secures a Brighter Future for River Tees Hospital School
River Tees Hospital School is delighted to announce the success of its Condition Improvement Fund (CIF) bid, securing almost £500,000 of Government investment to enable the complete refurbishment of the school’s roof.
This significant investment represents much more than an improvement to our building. It is an investment in the future of the hundreds of young people and families we support, both now and for many years to come.
The project will enable us to undertake a full refurbishment of the school roof, significantly improving the sustainability, efficiency and long-term condition of our building. Crucially, it will also provide a safer, more secure and more reliable environment for the vulnerable pupils in our care, many of whom have complex medical needs and face significant challenges in their lives and education.
As a Hospital School, we are privileged to work with some of the most vulnerable young people in our community. Every day, our dedicated staff team provides high-quality education, care and support to pupils during some of the most challenging periods of their lives. We work alongside families, health professionals and other partners to help young people continue their education, build confidence and prepare for the next stages of their journeys towards adulthood.
This investment will ensure that our physical environment continues to reflect the quality of care, support and education that we strive to provide every day. The impact of this project will extend far beyond the walls of our school, supporting hundreds of young people and their families while making a significant contribution to our local community and beyond.
